When Georgia Kentley breaks up with her long-term boyfriend Darren over Christmas, she really can't wait to return to work on the 27th of December.

The excitement dies when she meets her new boss, Walker Trent. DCI Trent is a misogynistic pain in the arse. Being a young police officer, Georgia has met her fair share of men who don't understand that she can hold her own. Every single time she has proven them wrong.
Will she be able to prove to Walker Trent just how capable she is or will she get herself into a heap of trouble, danger and chaos? And when chaos ensues who will be there to save her?

Cover Review:

The cover is pretty simple and to be honest doesn't reflect the storyline at all. It could definitely have been better.

Book Review:

I picked this one up for two reasons, one because I was overwhelmed by all the heavy mystery novels I'd been reading and wanted a break and two, because this book releases today, so I figured I'll get it read before then!

Though I was wrong in thinking this was just a romance novel and now I want to cry because this one has left me with a cliffhanger and I've no idea when I'll get to read the next book. This is exactly why I refrain from reading books whose sequels are yet to be published.

As for Inescapable Fate, it was absolutely awesome. A perfect blend of romance and mystery, and short enough to be a light read.

Both the main characters, Georgie and Walker were adorable and admirable in their own ways. Watching them grow from disliking to loving each other was a whole lot of fun.

All in all, Inescapable Fate was a fun and enjoyable read!

  1. Cliffhangers are vile and should be outlawed!

  2. I hate when they end with Cliffhangers!!! So sorry that happened.

  3. I find it strange when the cover doesn't reflect the story. Great review.

  4. I like the cover! A shame that it doesn't really fit with the story.

  5. Great review I also dislike cliffhanger ending as well it just pure torture to wait until the next book comes out but I'm glad you enjoy this one. Here's hoping the next book comes out soon enough, thank you so much for sharing your awesome post and putting this book on my radar.
